Meet ol' Betty our Geo Prizm- Shes been in the Nelson family a long long time. Trent got her when he was in high school, he went on his mission and Trent's main girl, Cristi got to take good care of her while she went to college. Trent came home from his mission and they got married- (Trent and Cristi- not Betty.) Ol' Betty saw the two lovebirds through his Masters at Byu, They thought she was on her last legs then. Nah-She's in it for the long haul. Trent and Cristi so lovingly gave her to us when they got a shiny new crossover SUV.With the knowledge the she might not be around much longer but she was ours until she died. Shes a Champ she is There have been many touch and go times with Ol' B, At a whopping 235 thousand miles she is still crankin it out- haulin us to school and work. B is hangin on by a thread tho- sometimes her arthritis kicks in and she wont go more than 25 mph, even if you floor it, she sputters like shes gunna die in the middle of intersections and i just know that will be the last time i get to drive her.... When her ac went out, we discovered they no longer make the type of Freon she needs,so with the windows down, we cruise along I15 getting deafened more and more each day by the Semis driving next to us. The same week her Ac went out- Stevo was driving and rolled down the window- somehow something broke in the door and the window fell down into the door. So we duct taped it up for about a week, didn't mind being Whisky Tango for a while. We're college students for cryin out loud- so duct tape was no big deal, but the heat was unbearable. So we called all the junk yards in town in hopes to find a cheap door replacement (since the part to fix it was WAY more than a whole new "junked" door), no white doors were to be found, so a blue one is what Betty is stuck with. This door is awesome, it doesn't lock since we don't have the key for it, and it is full of gravel- so every time you open and close it - it sounds like rocks are sliding all over the place....well probably because they are.-
Betty I love you- and am grateful you have been a part of our family for so long, It would be really awesome if you could last us until April.

We had a 1970 Nissan in our family just like that, brown but with a silver door, and when the spedometer went out well over 230000 miles, we speculate that it drove for another good 35000 miles before my brother crashed it, we wonder how long it actually would have gone on to live.
