We kicked off the month by going to our Hale side of the family annual Labor Day parrty which was a great time as usual, good eats and good company. The next day I got to go to my Aunt and Uncles in Provo for dinner, I used to live with them while I was finishing up school-they are so stinkin rad and hilarious to boot. Love them. Then on the actual day of Labor- we had a barbecue at my brother Spencers- made complete with amazing stilts, pogo stick jumping, swing dancing and cart wheel contests. Yes- my family is the bomb.com in case you were wondering. And just so you know- the cartwheel contest was started by my 28 year old spirited accountant of a brother. It was awesome. We got to see Jospeh and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat at Hale theatre- SO AWESOME. Special thanks to my mama and Craiger for getting us tickets. Loved it. And got to go to a BYU football game- thanks to Rich and Joanne- and ate the biggest maple bar you ever did see. Its called a cougar tail.
Um-Dalish.
Anyway- Gabe is a crazy awesome little monkey. He never ceases to amaze me at how rad he is. Love that kid. And he loves to be in the shower... the other day it was quiet for a little too long so I went to find him- and he was in the shower reading his favorite book.
He mastered the sign language words for "more" and "food". Go figure... he is his mothers son I tell ya. He can say- come back, truck, car, tickle tickle, and go. He loves to rub his head, point to his nose, your nose, his ears, eyes, tongue and belly. He is completely off the bottle and being the perfect little bruiser. Every week he starts out with some sort of new lump on his head to show off. He loves to play with his daddy, idolizes his cousin Benny and loves to play hide and seek. At his 15 month appointment- he pulled ahead with the height and noggin. He is now off the charts for those two-and 80 percentile for his weight at a whopping 27 pounds. What? How is that only 80th percentile. This kid is S-O-L-I-D. Not fat. Not even husky. Just made a lead. And I love every ounce of him.
Steve got to go to U of U-BYU game and watched us get spanked. So I guess that isnt a real highlight- but oh well. And he got to go to school. Poor thing. That is pretty much his life these days.
Alana- me- I got to run a half marathon Labor Day weekend, took 4 minutes off my previous time- and did it in under 2 hours! Which for me folks is a real miracle. I also got to run the funnest race ever thanks to my sweet sissies Shawna and Laura. The DIRTY DASH- so rad. Got to be in charge of a volleyball clinic- LOVe the game. Anyone wanna do a rec team with me? I am in need of playing competitively again. Enjoyed the fruits of being what I have always wanted to be a Stay at home mommy.
Happy fall!
