Alrighty, I am doing pretty good here, it is only the 19th and I am giving an update for the month. A LOT has happened this month and it has just been a complete whirlwind. April 1, we closed on our house and that whole week we cleaned, painted and moved in. It was a little nuts, but with a lot of help from family and friends we were able to get into our very first home. It has been a ball and we couldnt be more thrilled. We love our yard, our home, our ward, and our area. The backyard has the most beautiful view- the green mountains, with a stable in the distance and horses freely roaming on the other side of a train track. We are starting to feel like this is actually our home which is something sort of amazing, considering that for last 4.3 years of our marriage we have completed 5 moves and have been under the good graces of family ties. We are in a little tiny town which is sooooo wonderful to me, and about 20 minutes from everything, My parents, down town, day break (family and best friend). We live in a cul de sac which also makes this mama really happy and helps us feel safe. This house really couldnt be more perfect for us, everything that led us to this place was by Gods hand for sure. It was a short sale and moved extremely fast, especially considering we were a back up offer. We met with the bishop last week and apparently this ward wasnt only an answer to our prayers, but we were an answer to theirs. This is where we are meant to be.
Gabe has been so excited about his new house and will tell you all that this is HIS house, and he loves it, he loves to dig in the backyard of what used to be a ginormous koi pond.
For whatever reason I felt I needed to redo the kitchen cabinets right as we moved in, so for a week our kitchen was a total mess which drove me absolutley bonkers. But seriously I am so glad they are done and and pleased with how they turned out. If you come and take a look, just remember, im not a professional, and dont look with too critical of an eye ;)
We painted every bedroom and the main living areas and everything just feels so fresh and so clean. It is great. We love our new home. Steve is in heaven having a gigantic 3 car garage and is so excited to be organized with all his millions of tools and gadgets.
Here is a picture tour of the house and other fun things that this month has brought to our lives. Oh and ps Steve graduates next week!! Stay tuned. He gets his own post for that
