Garden

I should have blogged about this a while ago- but to get our garden ready, in april i - or should i say we- fertilized our little plot with a bucket chicken poop (which apparently is the BEST kind for a good garden)so i got the bucket full from my dad- and when we started mixing it in with all the dirt- my pregnant nose got a good whiff- and i almost lost my cheerios. steve had to do the work while i stood and watched from 20 feet away gagging. i dont think it helped that there were a ton of feathers mixed in it from the molting chickens. well the fertilizer got good and mixed - and got to cure for a good month and a half- so now im thinkin we should have a pretty dang good crop this year.
well friday night - i know we are like 2 weeks late planting - there was snow and then we were out of town- then i tried doing it during the week- but NO one had the plants i needed! so after calling around on friday- we were able to get the right stuff for our cute little plot.
i really am so stinkin excited for my first garden flyin solo....

we have a little tiny plot- but it should reep some great vegetables. let me tell you- i am so excited. we have tomatoes, zucchini, squash, and bell peppers. apparently they dont sell peppers in one or 2 plant cartridges... so we have 6. yes 6. but hey i am excited.
