Piggy- caution this post may be a little graphic

So- this last weekend we went to hurricane and got our little piggy slaughtered. steve did the killin and i got to do the cleanin. i only got one picture....
I got to spend some time with my aunt phyllis and she taught me about all the different cuts and what comes from what- like where ribs come from, and the chops and the shoulder and butt roasts. so glad she was able to help me understand:) well mason and my cousin jared being the tough men that they are- got to wrap all the meat, while us women did all the cutting and cleaning(uncle wynn said they were the girliest boys he'd ever seen and that they should be doing the hard work that Phyllis and I were doing)they thought they were pretty clever and made illustrations for some of the packaging- ie on the baby back ribs- they drew a picture of a baby and an arrow pointing to its back and ribs. later we made all the sausage- and we ran out of regular white butcher paper so we ended up using some newspaper. guess what section we used- the obituaries- rather fitting i'd say. special thanks goes out to Susie, Amanda, and Angelina for helping with all the sausage. come have a sleep over at my house and i will make a delectable breakfast with beau.
well i think steve was a pretty happy camper with how the sausage turned out- however he would have had the whole pig made into that stuff if i would have let him- but he already has whipped some out and had it everyday we have been home. i think we did a good job seasoning it and makin it delish. bon apetit!
