here is my first attempt at buttercream decoration. dont worry i know i need to work on my handwriting skills. but piping is kinda hard! fondant is a little easier to make look beautiful- but its yucky. at least this is edible. i love cherry chip cake- but its not my birthday- whoops- hopefully my poppi does. even if he didnt- he'd tell me i still did a great job. the love only a father could have.
to one of the most amazing men in the world.
No such thing as ordinary
These hands are everything but ordinary
This man never ceases to amaze me
With just two hands
like anyone else
He changed the world
however small a change he thought
to me it was the world
Working through sweat and tears
and struggling his whole life through
never seemed to see a cloud in the sky
His hands surely brought to pass
many mighty miracles
of happiness and unconditional love
His hands bring joy
and peace to all
His hands are the image of
genuine concern and love for others
He taught me how to laugh
he taught me how to love
and most importantly he taught me how to serve
On more than one occasion he told me
that true happiness is in service.
This could not be defined any better
than in his actions and
what his whole life is.
No one can doubt or deny
the truly angelic and happy disposition of this man
This man is the world to thirteen amazing children
the world to a truly valiant and incredible wife
Ironically he wonders how he got to be so lucky
when in reality its us who are the lucky ones
To be so incredibly blessed
with such a magnificent man in our lives.
There is no ordinary thing
about this man in my life
I love you so much dada.
