um this was amazing.yeah i was having issues with uploading pictures... im new to this whole blogging thing.

As summer faded into fall we got engaged

and the wedding plans started taking up all our time. But let me just tell you. We had the most amazing wedding day ever. That definitely goes down as one of my favorite days of my life thus far. Probably not for my sweet momma tho. It was a rather warm 2nd day of the year in 2009 and with all the hustle and bustle of getting ready to go to the temple, my mom was running next door to gwammies house probably to see if the sweet rolls were done or something. Low and behold, the only place where ice still remained, she managed to slip and fall, breaking her ankle pretty badly. 20 mins til we needed to leave! Luckily after a few frantic calls to Brittney, my best friend, she came to save the day. She wrapped my mom all up and pumped her full of Lortabs- and bam we were off... The temple was awesome. (If you notice in some of the pictures my moms eyes are a little glazed.)And the reception was rad. We had it at Cactus and Tropicals in draper- which is a sweet greenhouse- my granny did all the food which i heard was a definite hit. Right as the reception started, so did a HUGE blizzard. This kept some people from the reception, as well as the stupid Sugar bowl game for the U of U but not many. There was a HUGE turnout which we were so grateful for, it was so wonderful to see so many people who love and support us. Our cake not only looked awesome... But it was the best tasting cake I have ever had. Seriously- it was such a great day. We got to spend it with our favorite people and we got to just enjoy everything. It was a CLASSY wedding. My colors were Sage green and Black... Everyone looked so slick in their festivities. I just hope no one felt ugly or frumpy-(if they did its their own fault... they got to pick out their own dresses). To end our wonderful day, we got to stay at the Grand America hotel in Salt Lake, THANK you Rich and Joanne. It was a very nice hotel- but almost a little too ritzy for my taste. I managed to cut myself shaving pretty badly- and guess what- they charged me 6 dollars for a bandaid!!! Anyway needless to say- it was a wonderful stay, then we went off to our honeymoon....

I love it when you tell stories. Especially if you have to call granny something, because it always changes:) And I most definitely did NOT feel frumpy!
ReplyDeleteOh toots i love your blog! Its very well written and entertaining. Also, the only thing that was wrong with the way i looked at your wedding was the fact that i kept putting my hand at weird angles in the pics. My fault.
ReplyDeleteSo cute! I am glad you are a blogger now!!!
